Membership Criteria
If membership is to mean anything and authorities and the public are to be expected to respect it, then there must be strict criteria preventing unsuitable companies from joining. There must also be a disciplinary procedure to sanction and, in extreme cases, expel members.
The Performance Textiles Association jealously guards and defends the hard won reputation of its membership and expects each of its special interest groups to do the same.
Are you eligible to Join?
You must:
- Have been trading for at least two years
- Be actively hiring out inflatable play equipment in the UK as all or part of your main occupation (manufacturers are not eligible for membership discount - even if they hire as well as manufacture)
- Have adequate public liability insurance
- Have all relevant equipment PIPA compliant, tested and certificated (Non-compliant equipment may be risk assessed provided the risk assessment is properly documented. In any case all non-PIPA tagged equipment must be phased out by the end of 2009)
- Agree to abide by the association's relevant codes of practice
- Agree to accept disciplinary actions resulting from failure to comply with these conditions of membership
- Be proposed and seconded, preferably by and existing member. (Previous members of the NAIH may be proposed by their ex-chairman) If this is not possible a trade reference may be acceptable in lieu of the seconder.

The NAIH is administered by the Performance Textiles Association
